PILATES
Our classes teach a method of physical and mental conditioning through a series of controlled movements.
It is one hour of continuous exercise and focuses on improving flexibility and strength for the total body, especially the “core” muscles (abdominals).
Props such as rings and exercise balls are also used in our classes to make it more challenging
All ages can do Pilates!
Class size is limited and provides a more personal atmosphere. Private lessons are also available on the Reformer.
About the Instructor:
Kathy Carter has spent all of her 14 adult years involved in the fitness industry in various capacities including, but not limited to, Spinning, Kickboxing, Step Aerobics, Pilates, and Yoga. She was employed for 5 years by AAAI/ISMA serving in the certification and presentation of Mat Pilates. She is certified through the Physical Mind Institute in Pilates and was the North East Fitness Coordinator for LA Fitness for 4 years. Her class focus is on core strengthening fundamentals as well as a balanced mind through breathing methods. It is her intention to improve overall well being through proper execution of applied techniques.
Kathy has been married for 8 years and a stay-to-home mother for her children all of their young lives. Her personal life is consumed with the health of her marriage as well as the well being of her children. In her more recent years, she has begun personal training in the Lower Bucks region.
